📞 Call Helpline: 9899991342Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) accepts CUET (Common University Entrance Test) as the second-priority pathway for B.Tech admission, after JEE Main Paper-I. Per UG Brochure 2026-27 §1.2 (page 29) and Important Instruction #37, "admissions through merit of CUET shall be carried out after exhausting of merit of respective National Level test" — meaning B.Tech (Programme Code 131) seats are filled first from the JEE Main merit list, and any vacant seats remaining are then offered on CUET (UG) merit. CUET is NOT a co-equal alternative — it is a vacant-seat fallback. CUET also qualifies you for the 10% Management Quota at unaided affiliated B.Tech colleges (Chapter 12).
Per UG Brochure 2026-27 Table 1.1 (Programme Code 131), GGSIPU B.Tech admission priority is 1. National Level Test — JEE Main Paper-I followed by 2. CUET#. JEE Main candidates fill seats first; remaining vacant seats are then offered to CUET candidates per Important Instruction #37. They are NOT parallel pathways — the merit lists are sequential, not co-equal. The strongest strategy is to appear in BOTH exams: JEE Main for priority access to the best colleges, CUET as a vacant-seat fallback AND as a qualifier for the 10% Management Quota.

Yes, but as the SECOND-priority pathway per UG Brochure 2026-27 Table 1.1 (Programme Code 131). JEE Main Paper-I is priority 1; CUET fills vacant B.Tech seats AFTER JEE Main counselling exhausts (Important Instruction #37). CUET also qualifies you for the 10% Management Quota at unaided affiliated B.Tech colleges (Chapter 12). Best strategy: appear in BOTH JEE Main and CUET.
Candidates must have passed Class 12 with Physics + Mathematics compulsory plus one of Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Informatics Practices, minimum 55% aggregate (50% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD), pass in each subject including English, per UG Brochure 2026-27 Ch 2 (Programme Code 131). Required CUET papers: Physics (322), Mathematics/Applied Mathematics (319), and either Chemistry (306) or Computer Science/Informatics Practices (308). Note: CUET is the second-priority entrance after JEE Main Paper-I per Important Instruction #37.
Per UG Brochure 2026-27 §1.2 (page 29), CUET-based admissions for B.Tech happen after exhausting the JEE Main Paper-I merit list (Important Instruction #37). Practically, GGSIPU runs JEE Main counselling first; whatever B.Tech seats remain unfilled are then offered on CUET merit through additional counselling rounds. Higher CUET scores lead to better rank for these vacant-seat rounds.
Top colleges include MAIT (Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology), BPIT (Bhagwan Parshuram Institute of Technology), NIEC (Northern India Engineering College), HMR Institute of Technology, and GTBIT (Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology).
