Admission to B.Tech programmes at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) affiliated colleges is done through an online counselling process. Candidates who qualify JEE Main or CUET are assigned a rank by GGSIPU. Based on this rank, candidates participate in multiple rounds of online counselling to fill choices and get seats allotted.
The counselling process is completely online and managed by the GGSIPU admissions portal. There is no offline reporting until document verification at the allotted college.

Visit the official GGSIPU admission portal and register using your JEE Main or CUET roll number and other details. Pay the non-refundable counselling registration fee online. Keep your registration number safe.
Upload scanned copies of all required documents on the portal. Ensure all documents are clear, legible and in the prescribed format (JPG/PDF). Incorrect uploads may lead to rejection.
Fill your preferred colleges and branches in order of preference. You can fill as many choices as you want. Once satisfied, lock your choices before the deadline. Locked choices cannot be changed.
GGSIPU releases the seat allotment result based on your rank and choices. If you are allotted a seat, you must accept it and pay the seat acceptance fee within the stipulated time. Multiple rounds are conducted.
After seat allotment, report to the allotted college for document verification with all original documents. The college will verify your eligibility and approve admission after successful verification.
Pay the full first-year tuition fee at the college to confirm your admission. Collect the fee receipt and admission letter. Your admission is confirmed only after this payment.
GGSIPU typically conducts 3–4 rounds of B.Tech counselling including a spot round. Candidates must register once and can participate in all rounds using the same registration.
Yes. If you have been allotted a seat but want a better college or branch, you can participate in subsequent rounds. Your existing seat is retained while the system tries to upgrade to a higher preference.
If you miss the seat acceptance deadline after allotment, your allotted seat will be automatically cancelled and released to other candidates. You may not be eligible for the current round.
