IPU Law Admission 2026 Overview

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) offers integrated law programmes like BA LL.B and BBA LL.B through affiliated institutes and university schools. Admission is primarily based on CLAT scores followed by centralized counselling.

Eligibility Criteria for IPU Law Admission

  • Passed Class 12 from a recognised board
  • Minimum 50% aggregate marks (subject to official notification)
  • Valid CLAT UG score
  • Students appearing in Class 12 can also apply

Detailed Eligibility (Programme Code 121 — 5-yr Integrated BA-LLB / BBA-LLB)

  • Class 12 pass (or appearing) with minimum 50% aggregate (45% for SC/ST)
  • Maximum age: 22 years for General; 24 years for SC/ST/OBC (as on 1st October of the admission year)
  • For LLM (1 year — Programme Code 112): LL.B. degree with 50% aggregate (45% for SC/ST)
  • For LLB 3-Year (Programme Code 238): Bachelor's degree in any discipline with minimum 50% aggregate

Refund Policy (UGC Norms)

GGSIPU follows the UGC refund policy. Refund of entire fees (after deduction of Rs. 1,000 processing charges) is permitted up to 15 days before commencement of classes. After classes start, refunds follow UGC slabs — 100% before classes start, 80% within 15 days of commencement, 50% within 30 days, and 0% after 30 days.

Affiliated colleges charge per the 6th SFRC Delhi Gazette Notification dated 14.07.2025 — typically Rs. 1,15,000 to Rs. 1,55,000 per year tuition for BA-LLB / BBA-LLB. Add Rs. 25,000-30,000 in university charges, exam, innovation, alumni and welfare contributions. Total annual cost ~Rs. 1,40,000-1,80,000 at most affiliated colleges (VIPS, MAIMS, Fairfield, DME, Gitarattan).

Per the 2026-27 brochure: 3-year LLB is offered at USL&LS (60 seats), VIPS-TC Pitampura (30 seats) and Chanderprabhu Jain Narela (60 seats) — total fee at USS Rs. 1,80,700/year. 1-year LLM is offered at USL&LS (4 specialisations × 30 seats: Corporate Law, Criminal Justice, IPR, ADR) and 12+ affiliated colleges including MAIMS, VIPS, DIST, Fairfield, Gitarattan, Ideal, KCC and JEMTEC. LLM admission is through IPU CET (LLM).
